The beautiful Spanish flu | John Bagnold Burgess

Your eyes – like black olives,
Your smile is full of tenderness,
Your element – the proud Seville,
Your land – Spanish land!
Palaces before you opened the door –
And you came in admiration at the threshold!
You smiled fashionable gentleman,
Are you playing the cool breeze! And then in the labyrinths of Seville
So loudly poured your wonderful laugh!
And this city yellow oranges
With your smile was the happiest of all!
So let sing Sevillian guitar
And the fountain of pure water
Run-run-run at the Alcazar!
So let blooms Spanish soil!
Among gardens and royal castles
Sevilla quietly sank into the night.
You sleep, Belle-Spaniard?
And over you – Star rain! ..
